” Words have power”

Today’s youth feels more depressed and sad due to the society and how they are treated in it. Turning to drugs is said “to resolve their sad and depressed thoughts”. Rappers sing about the use of lean, dirty sprite and the use of marijuana in baked goods and in rolled joints. Teenagers hear these songs and are influenced to do these types of drugs. A teenager can walk into a smoke shop and buy product without getting checked if they are of age or not. Many teens start using drugs because they are peer pressured by their peers and later are the ones who peer pressure other people to try all sorts of drugs.

The influence of rap music on today’s youth is having a negative impact because its causing them to become lazy. They are becoming lazy and on top of that they are “getting higher than the empire state building.” They will never be able to have a paid off home or any personal belongings due to being lazy and wasting their money on their necessary drugs.
